Lucius Woods County Park Boat Marina
Lucius Woods County Park Campground has a new Boat Marina with 8 reservable boat slips. This was huge investment in our community and a great addition to Lake St Croix. The foundation contributed a monetary grant to the project that helped offset a portion of the marina cost as well aw members of the foundation worked side by side with the county employees on the installation of this floating pier. Reservations can be made online through the Lucius Woods Campground website at www.douglascountywi.gov/650/Campgrounds. The outside of the Dock is available for day use from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm with no overnight parking allowed.
Aurora Ouisconsin Outdoor Club
St Croix Headwaters Foundation helps with range improvements at Aurora Ouisconsin Outdoor Club. This an outdoor club that recently has been revitalized with the hard work of many individuals. We were happy to assist with funds to improve one of the shooting shelters. The heavy snow loads of 2023 unfortunately colapsed one the shooting shelters. With the help from a local Boy Scout completing his Eagle Scout project the shelter was rebuilt. It turned out so nice they decided to put a concrete floor under it. The Foundation covered the cost of the concrete to complete this project as planned. AOOC holds many events that promote safe shooting for youth and adults.

Buoy Markers on the Gordon Flowage
Working in conjunction with the Gordon Flowage Lake Association our foundation has agreed to placing and maintaining buoy markers on the flowage. The buoys mark rock piles and other objects to help create a safer boating experience and prevent damage to watercraft. Water levels on flowage lakes change significantly through the year, please use caution - even in proximity to buoy markers.
